Pirates Well is quickly becoming our go to favorite place in the Royal Palm-Wellington area. The service is always exceptional and the food is fresh, well cooked and delicious. We love to start with the smoked fish dip. Also, they are exceptionally accommodations for my gluten free wife. Love this place. Great for breakfast too.
Best burger in town! Skip Brass Ring and head here for a burger. Order the onion rings and enjoy the bacon ranch dipping sauce! Service is super friendly and fast. Beer specials. There’s a crowd of regulars, but not obnoxious. No complaints. Everything is amazing!!
Always, always excellent... Extreamy happy when they reopened as they were truly missed by many.. One of my favorite places!
Moriah was wonderful! We sat outside and she never let a need go unmet. They were very busy but the service and food was awesome. We'll be back soon.
You better count your blessings if you get the female bartender! Dude's rude, and gives bad service. Thought it was just back fluke but went back the next day with a group (not my idea but great live music) but same got the same bad service. Place is a joke!
Currently involved in a Fire. Many people are looking forward to your Grand Re-Opening. My apologies Larry. Many people were upset to learn about the minor fire. It was no fault of yours. Bigger, Badder, Better. Best Wishes for a speedy reopening. I look forward to returning for cold beer and good food.
Love the remodel. Place looks great. Food was amazing.
The service was not very good. Told the server we were ready to order, her comment was I have other tables to take care of. Best Philly cheese steak I have had in a long time.
We come here almost every Sunday after church with a fairly large group of people. The food is pretty good overall and I like the atmosphere. The service can be slow despite the restaurant not being full. In fact one Sunday we were told that they had a large party in their party room (30 people) and only 1/4 to maybe 1/2 of the restaurant full and we waited an hour for our food to be delivered. In my experience, that should not have delayed our food so long; the kitchen could use a little help in getting food out in a more timely fashion. We also enjoy coming here are Wednesday evenings when they have trivia! The bar situation is a full bar, nice wine list, and several beer options.
Reasonable prices. Great mahi mahi fingers, friendly service, easy parking , very upbeat atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
Waitress was very attentive and breakfast was served quickly. Food was good, not great. Eggs were done correctly but Home fries a little dry and bacon was a little greasy tasting. Price was a little high but I liked the fact that coffee was included with my basic 2 egg breakfast. Friend said his sausage and gravy breakfast was good and well priced. Overall, it was a good experience and we'll be back.
Our first experience at Pirate's Well wasn't the best but it was because of a single server and not the establishment. The food was great the first time and it's very clean inside. Said server is no longer at PW for reasons other than our incident so we wanted to give it another try. The second server we had, Kari, was absolutely wonderful. She was very sweet and attentive. Larry more than made up for the wrong we experienced. The second time we went the food was delicious and the drinks were awesome!
Really miss this place to watch my Bills games.. Staff is amazing, cook is on point, food is always good, beer is freezing cold, prices are VERY reasonable. Very pretty, friendly tenders of bar and I can’t wait for them to reopen. I have nowhere to watch my games! please open soon Go Bills?
Great food as always! New place is awesome!
Drinks are cheap. Can't complain about that. The staff is nice and they're quick to greet you and make sure you're taken care of. I can't comment about the food yet, but I'll be back.
We enjoy coming here for happy hour and to grab a great bite to eat. The wings and onion rings are awesome. Servers are always friendly, even when it is really crowded you get great service and great food. Have not had the chance to try their second location in Royal Palm but looking forward to it when I'm out that way for work.
They did a great job after the fire. Place looks great and the food is good as ever. Go see Kelly, a total sweetheart.
Reopened review! This place is so much nicer than it was before, however it lost its small down bar feel. It was really the last bar around that felt like a true old school bar. Food and drinks are just as good, same specials, just feels a little different. Definitely worth going to either way! . Old review is below and still true: Cheap beer and drinks, great bar tenders do their job well, lots of usuals to make friends with, good music, always fun!
Local Spot! Great food and drink specials all day. Fun atmosphere. Weekend live music.
Hubby has had good experiences here previously, but my first visit today, half the booths in our section empty or others already served, and after promptly being seated, orders taken we waited 45 minutes for omelette breakfast orders. We left and we're getting into our car when the waitress came out the door and yelled "orders up!". 45 minutes for 2 omelette breakfasts!?? Not good customer service! We went to Hilary's, just as busy, seated and ordered, and food on the table in under 10 minutes. I won't be patronizing Pirate's Well in the future.
I can best describe this as a biker bar, very busy and loud with reasonable food and drink prices perched just about on top of the railway line in the extreme north of Lake Park. It is not a place I would feel comfortable taking my family or girlfriend. Maybe that's just me? Parking can be difficult as their lot fills up fast during traditionally busy times. I ordered 4 fish & chips to go, and while the price was low and the portions were large, the quality of the food was also low. Neither of the 4 of us managed to eat all of the fish, or the chips. The slaw was not bad. If cheap food and large portions are your thing, and you are not too picky about quality, this could be your thing. The service was friendly and hometown. I would rate food quality a 1, but they were polite and though the atmosphere was not to my taste, I'm sure the right crowd would love the place, as it always seems to be busy.
